God and Science
In Rich Deem's article, "Man, Created in the Image of God: How Mankind is Unique Among All Other Creatures on Earth", Deem does an excellent job briefly explaining mankind's creation in the image of God. This article will help you in better understanding the diagram we discussed in class that showed us: 1. How God is revealed in himself 2. How mankind is made in the image of God (Therefore we reason to what the image of God is) 3. How humans have the ability to reason (we struggle with that). One thing in particular that I enjoyed about reading this article was Deem's use of credible theological references. In order to initiate some conversation between myself and you all, I thought that it would be necessary that I impose a question regarding this article. In regards to Deem's analysis of the body, soul, and spirit, what is the distinction between the spirit and the soul and what is your interpretation of Bob Marley's quote "“Don't gain the world and lose your soul, wisdom is better than silver or gold...”?
